My name is Claire Wise and I am an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and previous Infant Feeding Specialist Nurse based in Leicestershire.
I qualified as a Paediatric Nurse in 2003 and from 2014 onwards I worked closely in a hospital setting with families whose infants had to be re-admitted following birth for reasons relating to breast feeding difficulties in their early weeks of life.
It is the passion I have for supporting and working with breastfeeding women and their families that ultimately paved the way to me leaving the NHS in 2023 to pursue my IBCLC training which resulted in me receiving my qualification in the summer of 2024.

I am also available to visit women on postnatal wards as long as permission has been sought from the Maternity Team (travel costs and parking fees will apply).
I am available for breastfeeding support seven days a week and I can provide evening appointments if needed.
I also offer feeding support to bottle feeding mothers who may be experiencing any difficulties.

I am a fully insured practitioner with an up to date DBS certificate (2024). I am also up to date with my GDPR Training (2005), First Aid training (2025) and Safeguarding training (2024).
