One-to-one antenatal teaching session in your home to prepare you for breastfeeding
Session up to 2 hours long
Home Visit: £90
The session will include:
- How to get breastfeeding off to the best start after birth
- Recognising feeding cues / responsive parenting
- How to position and latch your baby
- How to assess the quality of a breast feed
- Typical feeding behaviours of a breastfed infant
- Common difficulties that may arise and how to address them
- Q&A session on any specific worries or concerns you have
As I feel it is very important for the mother to have an informed support system around her whilst establishing breastfeeding, I am happy for any extended family or friends to also be part of the session if they feel the information would enable them to support you better.

Postnatal Feeding Support
(either on the postnatal ward or in your home)
Session up to 2 hours long
£135
These Consultations are ideal for the early days, weeks and months after birth when problems first start to appear. These problems can present as:
- Difficulty latching your baby
- Poor weight gain / weight loss
- Nipple damage / painful feeding
- Unsettled baby during the feed, after the feed or between feedings
- Parental or professional concerns about the quality of your baby's breastfeed
- Parental or professional concerns about the ability of your baby to breastfeed
- Need for frequent supplementation with formula or expressed breast milk
I believe a two hour visit is requited to fully meet your needs and my service includes:
- Taking a birth history
- Discussing the feeding concerns you have
- Observation of a feed
- Tailored education and support in relation to your feeding challenges
- Written feeding plans / progress plans if required
- Documentation in your Child's Health Record
- Written report of our Consultation
- Liaising with your Midwife / Health Visitor / GP (with your consent) if needed for continuation of support
- Two weeks follow up support via email and telephone. If you would like a follow-up home visit this can also be arranged.

Payments, Cancellations and Terms and Conditions
Once we have agreed upon a Consultation appointment I will email you with my terms and conditions and the pricing details which will need to be paid prior to our appointment.
For postnatal consultations I will also require details from you about your pregnancy, your birth, yours and your baby’s overall health and your feeding experience so far. I will also send you information regarding this via email.
If you need to cancel the appointment you will receive a full refund if you provide me with 24 hours notice or more. If less than 24 hours notice is given then 50% of your cost will be refunded. If I need to cancel the appointment you will be given the option to either arrange another date with me or have a full refund.
